I am drifting.

Having finished work on two books, I’ve had a tough time jump starting anything new. Part of that is personally-pointed grace. I’ve worked pretty hard over the last several months and it’s okay to take a little time off.

Part of it is that I’ve been writing a lot of new poetry. I go through seasons where poetry seems to be the best way to express what’s going on, and this has definitely been one of those.

For most of my adult life, times of personal difficulty seem to have spurred my creativity, especially through poetry. Well, this has been one of those times. I’m not going to drag you through the details, but let’s just say the poetic juices have been flowing.

I’ve also been working on my own poetry site, but it’s a ways from being where I want it.

In the meantime, I’ll keep mulling over my next novel project. I have an half-finished thang that I may dust off. We’ll see.
